Sterilization (Spay/Neuter)

Routine procedures like spaying (for females) and neutering (for males) are some of the procedures carried out in our clinic’s surgical suite. Most of these procedures are performed in the morning, allowing us to monitor pets’ recovery post anaesthesia prior to their discharge in the afternoon.

What to Expect:

  • Procedure: The surgery involves surgically removing the reproductive organs—ovaries and uterus in females (spay), and testicles in males (neuter). This procedure is performed under general anaesthesia.
  • Recovery: Most pets recover quickly and can return to their normal activities in a few days.
  • Follow up: Dogs (males and females) and female cats will be advised to return in 2 weeks for a post-surgical checkup and suture removal.

When to Spay/Neuter:

  • Most pets can be spayed or neutered between 4 and 6 months of age, feel free to call or message us if you have any concerns!
